Report: Ibrox-linked defender hands in transfer request - but Rangers look set to miss out (Via HITC)

Rangers have been linked with a move to bring Curtis Tilt to Ibrox.

According to Sky Sports, Blackpool defender Curtis Tilt has submitted a transfer request to push through a move to Ipswich Town, with a move to Rangers seemingly off the table.

Tilt, 26, spent his entire career in non-league football with Halesowen Town, Hednesford Town, Telford United, Wrexham and Forest Green Rovers before heading to League One side Blackpool last summer.

The centre back became a key player under Gary Bowyer last season, playing 45 games in all competitions, and his performances at Bloomfield Road have attracted major interest.

The Mirror recently reported that Ipswich Town and Rangers were going head-to-head for Tilt's signature, with the Seasiders demanding a fee in the region of £1million for their star defender.
