Five PL sides keen; Rangers must make exciting striker's choice more difficult (Via HITC)

Glasgow Rangers should make their move to bring Joel Asoro to Ibrox as the list of Premier League clubs eyeing a bid continues to grow.

Based on recent reports coming from the Daily Star Sunday, it would appear that the race to sign Joel Asoro could be one of the most hotly contested that may take place during this summer window with a number of Premier League sides keen on the youngster. And given the bargain price that he is reportedly set to be available for, Rangers should undoubtedly attempt to make his decision even more difficult.

Steven Gerrard may have big plans for his first summer at Ibrox, but the Gers must not ignore the chance to pull off a very shrewd piece of business if the opportunity presents itself - and signing Asoro may prove to be one of the shrewdest deals they could do.

The Daily Star Sunday (13/05; page 49) reported that Wolves, Tottenham, Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Newcastle were keen on handing the 19-year-old the chance to play in the Premier League next season as he continues to show promise for current side Sunderland.

The Black Cats endured another miserable season, but Asoro has been a real shining light and Jack Ross will be hoping that he can keep him as they look to get out of League One at the earliest opportunity.

The Daily Star Sunday (13/05; page 49) suggested that if the teenager decided against signing a new contract at the Stadium of Light, he may be allowed to leave for just £1.5 million. While the Premier League quintet may be able to offer a more financially lucrative deal than Gerrard's Gers, Rangers must consider making a bid.
