Bruno Alves is here..but who else is expected in the coming weeks?

As most fans expected, the signing of Bruno Alves was announced today as Pedro Caixinha starts his summer re-shaping job at Rangers.

Alves, who is 35, is expected to join up with his national team Portugal as they prepare for the World Cup Qualifiers.

Now that this signing has finally been finalised, the question remains..who is expected at Ibrox in the coming weeks?

Fabio Cardoso

The young Portuguese defender is expected to sign up in the coming weeks, with a move to Rangers being heavily reported not only in the media in Scotland, but in Portugal as well.

Dalcio

Now staying in Portugal, Dalcio of Benfica has also interested Pedro Caixinha. The young 21 year-old forward, who has been plying his trade at numerous different clubs on loan, has caught the attention of the Rangers manager who is looking to bolster his front line.

Despite only scoring 3 goals for the Benfica B side, I know, hardly setting the world alight, Caixinha must see something in the youngster, as he is looking at bringing him in.

Graham Dorrans

Now of course this has been rumoured before admin but this transfer is looking like it be more than online gossip. The rumour gained momentum when Sky Sports reported that Scotland International midfielder Dorrans, who is a lifelong Rangers fan, will be moving North of the border in a 1.5 Million pound deal.

Now nothing more has been reported since but it is expected to be concluded very soon, as Pedro Caixinha looks to wrap up his business before the start of Pre-Season.

Carlos Pena

Now the other midfielder who has been mentioned in the same breath as Dorrans is Mexican midfielder Carlos Pena. Currently Pena plays in his homeland at Chivas, where he is highly regarded as a touch tackling no-nonsense player.

Pedro Caixinha, who managed in Liga MX during his time at Santos Laguna, is pulling all the resources and experience he has in getting players from all over the world.

It has been reported that Pena has had problems with drinking and partying, these claims have since been angrily denied by the Mexican.

It is believed that the player wants a fresh start in a new country, something which Rangers can offer him.

Daniel Candeias

Last but not least is Benfica winger Daniel Candeias who is 29 years-old. The winger, who again is at Benfica and been on loan for the last three years, has worked with Caixinha previously at Nacional.

His spell at Nacional saw him win a move to Benfica, but unfortunately he has not been able to put down a marker in the starting 11. This has meant that he has yet to make a single appearance despite spending THREE years with the club.
