Bates: I am the solution

David Bates has reiterated that his place in the team is no temporary solution.

Bates, who has made 6 appearances in the run in, has not only impressed Caixinha but fans also. This has resulted him being picked ahead of Rob Kiernan and Clint Hill in recent weeks.

Bates, who was speaking to Rangers.co.uk, said that:

“In the game up at Aberdeen we dug in at times but to come away with a 3-0 up there was brilliant.

“We want to keep winning, and the gaffer had put a task to us to go and win as many games as we can.

“Hopefully we can win our next two and show the gaffer what we can do in the process.

“For me, I want to try and finish the season well to keep myself in the gaffer’s plans and hopefully kick on next year.”

Rangers, who seen off Hearts at the weekend in a quite mundane game, face The Dons tomorrow in the second last game of the season.

Do you think Bates will feature a lot next season?
